A good many young writers make the mistake of enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope, big enough for the manuscript to come back in. This is too much of a temptation to the editor. -- Ring Lardner

A Day Late and A Dollar Short

An apt title for an apologetic post. Simply put, first day of my new (albeit temporary) job tomorrow mor–er, this morning, so I need to put off the post for a day.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but so you don’t leave empty-handed:

Minesweeper: The Movie It’s like Holes meets TransFormers, but without the giant robots. Or something.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Link has moves, and they are special.

GameTrailers has a bunch of Metroid Prime 3 goodness: gameplay, a preview, and a comparison vs. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

There’s also part 6 of the Final Fantasy Retrospective, looking at the 8th and 9th games in the series. Spoiler: One of these is said to be Sakaguchi’s favorite. See if you can guess which.

ScrewAttack.com takes a look back at SNK’s answer to Contra in Ikari Warriors. Incidently, I’ve always loved how SNK’s different franchises are able to mingle as they do…

And finally, find out about the level design, visuals, and weapons from Ratchet & Clank: Future on the PS3.

That’s it for now, a more full look at the past several days’ happenings will be coming to you later, and hopefully, an extra-special surprise in the days to come.
