The Examiner/MMN Revue for Thursday, February 17th
More like early Friday, February 18th, but who’s counting?
For those who found the hands-on with the 3DS games to be a bit too overwhelming, however, there is now an alternative, as I have split up most of it into individual hands-on articles. These are largely the same content, but now in smaller, bite-size chunks (and with more pics per title).
So have a look, and find out what let me down about Nintendogs + Cats, what lifted my spirits in Pilotwings Resort, what is painfully disappointing about Kid Icarus: Uprising, and more.
From the Canada Nintendo Examiner:
Hands-on with Nintendo 3DS: Nintendogs + Cats
Hands-on with Nintendo 3DS: Pilotwings Resort
Hands-on with Nintendo 3DS: Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition
Hands-on with Nintendo 3DS: Kid Icarus: Uprising
Hands-on with Nintendo 3DS: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
And from the conclusion of the article from which these came:
All in all, I really enjoyed my time with the system. A launch line-up has yet to be finalized, and so I don’t know if I can say this is something gamers will want to have on Day 1. But even so, I firmly believe that over time, just as with the DS before it, the 3DS will definitely be a gaming device which will be worth owning. And that’s not just because of the highly-touted, eponymous 3D feature, either. It’s simply fun.
