InFormers: Robots in the News
- Not much going on here today… just a preview for New Avengers/TransFormers #3.
Plus, IDW’s prepping for Devastation, with a press release that’s kind enough to cover the story thus far, which incidently also ties in to the New Avengers crossover above.
- If you’re eager to see TransFormers: The Movie at IMAX and win some cool swag in the process, then you’re in luck.
Along with one pair of the tickets, one Grand Prize winner will also receive the following:
1 Megatron Toy
1 Hat
1 Optimus Prime Key Chain
1 BEEOTCH Air FreshenerWhile it’s all good, I think I’d dig the air freshener.
…and the– oh, hell with it. It’s all good.
- Planet-busting action heads down-under as Headmasters is due to arrive on DVD over there. Now anyone with a Region 4 or Region-Free DVD player can watch as they kill Optimus, Galvatron, Cybertron, and Mars all in the same season!
Assorted Mushrooms
- This is sure to get a mixed reaction, at least when one first hears about it.
Dr. Seuss’s Horton Hears A Who is getting the big-screen treatment. And it’s starring Jim Carrey. And Steve Carrell.
And, it’s computer-animated. No makeup this time!
And you can see the trailer for it right here.
All in all, it actually looks… good.
- Curious about the 2-part season opener for The Batman? Here are some pictures from the eps, titled “The Batman/Superman Story.”
- Macross, Robotech, call it what you will. Truth is, I didn’t really get to grow up with it (I don’t think it was shown where I lived as a kid), and I hold little attachment to it beyond the Veritech Fighter mold being used to create the TransFormer known as Jetfire/Skyfire.
That said, I hold no particular disinterest in it, either. It’s just been a matter of time and opportunity to check it out, of which I’ve never really had either.
But, that all may be about to change, as it seems a new motion picture is under way, and none other than Tobey “Spider-man” Maguire is producing and possibly starring in this venture.
- Think you have what it takes to hang with the American Gladiators? Well now you’ve got the chance to find out!
Grand prize is a trip to Milhouse’s mom.
- Alright, so maaaaaaaybe X-Men 3 wasn’t that great of a movie (I don’t know, I never got to see it. But its reputation precedes).
However, the spin-off movie starring Magneto certainly looks to have promise, and retains the services of Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart, no less.
Now, I wonder how Wolverine’s is coming along…
Video Power
- More Simpsons fun, this time from GameTrailers as they conduct an interview of the “must-see” variety about the game’s story and environments.
- Finally, some new video of Sonic Rush Adventure. Plus another new(?) trailer as well.
Lookin’ good, but I’m still not 100% convinced it’s improved in the necessary ways over the original title.
- More fun from GT as videos of the shooter “TheMonkey King” for the Wii are now available.
Between this and Dragon Ball, I do wonder, was Goku always able to shoot energy in some form or fashion in the original legend?
At any rate, it looks good, but I wonder if it’s going to implement the Wii remote’s unique features in any way.
- If there’s a Meijer near you, then you could have a chance to play and win a Wii next week…
…assuming this isn’t just some local promotion.
Also sounds like they’ll have a significant number available for purchase, too.
- Go Nintendo is showing off their goods for their Mega Man contest.
…that is one cool shirt, do they actually sell them like that? Minus the signature, I mean.
Damn, I misread. I thought the 8th was the last day to enter… oh well. I doubt I’d have won, but I still want Dragon and the shirt…
- Looks like Hudson is offering a sneak-peek at the near future of the Virtual Console, with word of what their offering for Monday is.
