The Daily ‘Shroom – 5/19/07

  1. Nertz.

I tried to submit the newsbit showing the image from the TransFormers/New Avengers crossover to The Allspark, but it didn’t go through. So much for getting a plug over there.

Looks like there are already plans for a TransFormers 2 in the works. TransFormers.com is showing off the second wave of The Movie toys. Remy has a new gallery of Blackout, and The Allspark has a gallery of their own of BotCon 2002 exclusive CatSCAN.

It looks like Target gets yet another exclusive, this time a 3″ Titanium 3-pack, featuring The Movie Optimus Prime in three forms.

If you’re going to be in Japan when the movie comes out there, maybe you’ll want to pick up one of these special edition Bumblebee figures while you’re there.

And finally, would you want to see the movie a day earlier? Sounds like Mr. Bay is really pushing for it, and I rather enjoy his enthusiasm for it.

  2. NECA has finally decided to show off their classic colors He-Man statue, an exclusive item from SDCC and Wizard World this year.

It’s a neat hybrid of the original design and the more recently reborn model, but featuring an “updated” (if only slightly) version of the original Power Sword.

Even though I grew up on He-Man, I preferred the newer version more, and would love to see a version with the 2003 Power Sword.

Oh, wait, maybe that’s what this is. Pity the pose is different.

  3. So Tomb Raider is back.

Not to the form that it was when it initially came out, but at least you can hear that a new one is coming out now without wanting to run your gut into a doorknob.

So it’s with that in mind that news of a GameTap documentary and animated series sounds like alright news.

  4. Unlike many people, Peter Moore feels that Rare is pulling its Lose Weight Exercise.

Good, fine. Now, where’s Super Battletoads or Killer Instinct on Live Arcade, then?

  5. Granted, death in comic books has become little more than a joke.

But despite that, X-Men: Endangered Species still resonates with a sense of ominous tidings for the mutant superhero team.

  6. He’s robotic, he fights for justice, and he is celebrating 20 years in 2007.

    That’s right, it’s Robocop!

    Who were you expecting?

Looks like a heck of a DVD, coming out in August. Maybe this will be the way for me to see the movie for the first time.

  7. A poster has been revealed for the upcoming Star Wars: Clone Wars CG series, and– wait, didn’t they already do this? But without the CG?
  8. GameDaily’s Media Coverage takes a look at how the print medium is faring.

I still say it can work, but not if they keep doing what they’re doing now.

  9. The “international publishing boss” of Electronic Arts says “I believe the biggest fight will be in Europe. Whoever wins the hardware war in Europe, most likely will be the overall winner.”

The question is, who, if anyone, will act upon it?

  1. ACE_Spark Says:

    Who-ever wins in Europe?
Fat chance. Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft seem to want to ignore us as a continent.

Where’s Paper Mario and for that matter, Megaman ZX?! Elebits coming latter causing it to suffer BADLY in review scores, I mean.. sheesh. Sure, we get Strikers first… Mario Strikers is no Paper Mario.
    Come on, we’re bigger than America and Japan combined. ?_?;

Of course all 3 companies will hear this cry from your blog. :P
